ATEX is the conventional name of Directive 14/34/EC for equipment used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
It imposes risk assessment on all equipment working in such environments.
It classifies different levels of “hazard” (zones): for each zone, it corresponds to a different typology of explosive atmosphere, based on its composition and its probability and timing of occurrence.
The Motive gearboxes series (BOX-EX, ROBUS-EX, ENDURO-EX, STON-EX and STADIO-EX) are certified in accordance with standards EN 13463-1, EN 13463-5 and EN 1127-1 for zones 1, 21, 2 and 22.
